Early Bronze period 2000-1550 B.C. is the Biblical period of the last chapters of Genesis. This period includes Noah and the flood, down to the father of all believers, Abraham and his journey from Ur to the Promised land. Lamps of this period were used when Issac sent his kids to Egypt. This is a great period of time whose artifacts connect us physically with the fathers of faith.
The Israelites spent the Middle Bronze Age in Egypt, while the Holy Land was inhabited by Canaanites. Lamps from this period were similar to those from earlier times but feature only one spout instead of four. The bottoms of these lamps round gently, and they are usually made of course, gritty material.
