AD 67–68 Jerusalem Minted Revolt Artifact
During the First Jewish Revolt, rebels minted coins as a bold statement. Jewish Coin of The Great Revolt Against Rome symbolized independence from imperial rule. This bronze prutah, from AD 67–68, features an amphora inscribed “Year Two” and a vine leaf with “For the Freedom of Zion.”
These artifacts connect to Biblical themes of liberation. Indeed, the vine represents Israel’s promised land, echoing prophetic imagery in Isaiah. Moreover, the amphora ties to Temple rituals described in Leviticus.
Collectors value such pieces for their authenticity. With IAA approval, own this history shipped from Jerusalem.
