Ancient Grey Terracotta Lamp – Ashkelon Discovery, 3rd–1st Century B.C.
This rare Hellenistic terracotta oil lamp dates from the 3rd to 1st century B.C. and was discovered in Ashkelon. Mold-made with an applied loop handle, it displays a central filling hole, flat discus, ridge edge, and long nozzle with wide wick hole.
The grey clay piece remains in very good condition. Collectors, historians, and Bible teachers appreciate its clear link to the intertestamental period.
