Ancient Bronze Mace Head
This bronze mace head is a fine example of a popular ancient weapon. The mace was both simple and effective. But, not only did it function as a weapon, the mace was also symbolic of royalty. Many ancient depictions of king show them wielding maces. The mace, functioning as a scepter, represented the king crushing his enemies.

This mace head is made of bronze in a bulb shape. It has a central hole which would have attached to a wooden handle.
