Two pieces of authentic Roman period glass. This glass is found broken in archaeological excavations and made into Jewelry on a kibbutz in Israel.

The Romans were the first to invent glass blowing, so during this period glass is plentiful, unlike in earlier periods.

Before the Roman period, glass was made with a sand core mold, and was extremely expensive. During the Roman period, glass blowing was invented, which changed the entire glass industry. Glass became much more common.
